Prologue

Dark Small Medium Large Original Scroll to Bottom

Before the plane landed, flashes of lightning were incessantly visible in the dense rain clouds below. Su Anyi felt a sense of fear, yet she could not help but wonder if the Thunder God and the Lightning Mother had had their dinner after working so hard. At this moment, it was not the peak travel season along the coast, the monsoon had not yet passed, and the night train heading to the port city had very few passengers. In the distance, the first light of dawn appeared, with the indigo sky adorned with the initial blush of water pink and rose red, only to be quickly obscured by dark clouds.

It is unknown how many untold stories have been buried here, which has rendered it so dark and melancholic

After this, we will continue flying for more than three hours, then take a long-distance night bus, and finally transfer to a ferry to reach our destination. This trip was a spontaneous decision, and in the rush, we purchased necessities and booked flight tickets without having time to research relevant information along the way, leaving us almost completely unaware of the local food, accommodation, and transportation.

The wind was cool at the dock. Su Anyi bought a brightly colored cotton shawl to wrap around herself and also purchased a bottle of mineral water. During the boat ride, a light rain began to fall, and due to the speed of the boat, it hit her face like bullets. It was unclear whether it was because of the overcast sky, but the sea was merely a calm gray-blue, completely lacking the alluring shades of turquoise depicted in pictures that resembled glass.

Su Anyi is transiting in Hong Kong

Su Cha Island, it has only one name, a name that has been known to literature for six years.

Six years ago, the elder brother's fiancée went missing here, and Su Anyi's innocent first love also came to an end

The color of the heart is just like this sea

The flight from San Francisco took about fourteen to fifteen hours. The food on the plane was as unappetizing as ever; she only ate small round bread and salad, along with a few preserved plums she had brought with her. After completing the check-in procedures, there were still three hours until boarding, and her stomach felt so empty it was almost cramping, yet she had no desire to eat. She stubbornly refused to admit that her mood was poor, attributing it to the hectic affairs before departure and the high fever she had endured for several days, from which she had yet to recover. In truth, she was well aware that her young and healthy body had already adjusted to its optimal state, but a once fervent heart, suddenly plunged into cold water, had already developed fine cracks.
